I made this special wedding cake in
December of 2007 for a close friend. I
couldn’t thank him enough for trusting me with this cake project because I haven’t had any formal training in cake
decorating and fondant when he asked me to do this for them. All I had was the
knowledge I got from books and internet, my guts, determination, willingness
and faith in myself that anything I design in my mind will be executed by my
hands.
All 4 Cream Cheese Pound Cakes with Blueberry Filling were covered in white fondant with textured burgundy band piped with royal icing beads. Cake tops were decorated with fondant mini calla lily flowers with fondant butterflies. I had the cake stand custom-made to match the garden wedding reception theme.
